Fine Art
Fine art is when an artistic medium is used to convey a specific emotion, idea or message. Fine art "photography" is when the photographic medium is used. "So God created man in His own image, in the image of God, He created him." -Gen 1:27 The "Imago Dei" (em-ahh-go-day), man, is made in the image of the triune God, unlike any other creature. My goal in cultivating my fine art portrait photography is to attempt to reflect God's creation of man - to see the soul that can never die from within a portrait.
A fine art session is not just the creation of a photograph for your wall, but a heirloom quality, piece of art. Every digitally hand painted portrait takes approximately 5-8 hours each to complete from start to finish. They are also usually designed with a special place in the home in mind, such as over a fireplace, an entry wall, the nursery, or above the master bed.

A gallery fine art session is geared towards creating a gallery of multiple works that balance one another in creating a larger emotion or message when viewed together.

Turning an image into a fine art portrait does not work in all situations without careful pre-designing of the portrait. However, the pre-designing of an image to be turned into a fine art piece can be added on to many studio-style sessions prior to the session.

My Process
1.Say hi
Call, email, or submit a contact form letting me know what your fine art photography needs are! I will get back to you quickly to discuss and design.
2.Design
After we decide which fine art photography package will best fit your needs, I will schedule a quick design consultation with you in order to help me determine best what you are hoping for from this session. From there I will complete the pre-design of your session and finalize any special items directly with you.
3.Portrait time
It is the big day! Whatever is going on, do not be anxious! Set your mind on those things which are eternal, and I will worry about taking the photos. Be still, rest in this moment, recognizing the gift that it is.
4.Delivering photos
Lightly re-touched images will be uploaded to your personal gallery with your password-protected, unique link, emailed to you shortly after your session. From there we will discuss which image(s) to commission. After another few weeks your final portraits will be ready for print through your gallery's store.
